Well blow me down. This came as a big shock, the news has only emerged in the past few hours, people in the US are gonna wake up to a big day. I'm wondering what all the anti-Adobe or anti-MM brigade are gonna do now. These two companies came to blows several times in the past over user interfaces, and general stepping on toes. What will this mean to users? Will Director, and other 'less popular' products still continue?
The whole thing is still subject to regulatory approval, but I expect a lot of flak and disinformation will appear in the coming weeks. Adobe haved prepared an FAQ in PDF format to answer various questions, including ones for Macromedia employees.
Interesting times indeed.
